We're punks who book shows. Collectives, squats, youth houses, basements, village halls, people with a van and a spare floor, spread across Europe and beyond. Most of us have been at this for years and never asked to be paid for it. We do it because we love it, and because this is how our scene has always worked.

DIY is how we live, not a business model

Our shows run on volunteers, friendship and trust. Bands sleep on our floors, eat at our tables, play through borrowed gear and leave as friends. That isn't a lack of professionalism. It's the culture we built, and we're not handing it over to anyone who sees it as a market.

Getting organised again

DIY never disappeared, it just got scattered. So we're reconnecting: sharing contacts, routing tours together, lending gear, finding drivers, and making sure no band has to go through a middleman to play a squat in another country. If you want to tour the DIY way, there are people in almost every city ready to help.

What we believe

• Talk to each other. Bands and bookers deal directly, as people.
• Look after each other. The touring band, the local support, the venue, the person cooking dinner.
• Bands are friends, not clients. We'll always explain why we do things this way and never blame a band for choosing differently.
• Keep it open. New kids, new bands, new spaces are always welcome. That's how all of us started.

How we work

• We know each other, or know someone who knows you. Trust is how people join.
• We organise in regional groups and keep things simple and moderated, so nobody burns out.
• Nobody is obliged to book anything; everyone helps where they can.
• Change takes time, and we'll keep our word on what's already planned.
